Friday night I was sitting here watching TV with Tim and Kainaan...yeah, that's the "night life" I am used to. LOL! Anyways, my friend, Karissa, text messaged me and asked if I wanted to go with her to a bar downtown and watch a local band play. Ummmmm???? I have never been the band-watching type (I used to be the dance club type), so I was a little apprehensive. Not to mention, I have never been out in Knoxville, so I didn't know what to expect...and I had never heard of the band...but Tim (being the cool hubby that he is) told me that I should go hang out with my friend and that I might like it. Well, he was right...
It was GREAT! We got there at like 930 and listened to a band that we were not there to see, but then at 1115, our band went on...their name is Vertigo. Its 3 guys and 1 girl singer, they are from Knoxville, and they ROCKED!!!! They are pretty damn good, because they travel around a lot playing in local bars. They have 2 CD's out. Karissa bought one of them, and we listened to it on the way home. Its awesome! So yep, I am the newest fan of Vertigo and look forward to seeing them again. And maybe next time, my hubby can come with me!
Since Karissa brought her camera, we were able to take some pics of our ROCKIN' night!
PS- We were very good girls, too! She is only 20 and can't drink, and I only had 2 beers the entire time, because getting wasted is not exactly my thing anymore and I was driving! We were back at my house at 1 AM...safe and sound! It was a clean, low-key, drama free goodtime! :-)
Yeah, not the most flattering smile...its never pretty when you laugh and smile at the same time...it makes that whole double chin thing come out! Ugh!
I love her hair color! Dark red, with black streaks in the front...I might have to try that! :-)
(Tim said he thinks it would look HOT!) LOL!
She ROCKED!
Their website is: www.soundsofvertigo.com
Their music plays on it and you can see pics of the band. The singer, Lindsey, and the drummer, and brother and sister. And we were under the impression that the man and woman standing next to us was their Mom (and maybe the Dad or mananger or something) watching them! COOL!!! That could be me and Tim one day with Kainaan if he wants to start a band! I would be his biggest fan and be at all of his shows...no matter what kind of music it would be. :-)
