A Room-Mother In the Making??
Since Kainaan is in a new school, his teacher told me to bring in some family pictures. You know, just in case he gets a little homesick. Well, Mommy is not going to just bring photos...Mommy is going to bring a photo masterpiece! :-) I want my baby to have the best! So I made this little poster for him. And before anyone says anything...I know, I left like a million people out! But I couldn't put EVERYBODY...if I did that, I think the classroom would have a new wallpaper of just Kainaan's family and friends. :-) I am however, going to see if I can make 1 more. :-) And the teacher loved it so much, she said she was going to enlist me in helping her make stuff! Yay!! I love doing that stuff! If she liked this, wait until she sees the goodie bags I make for the kids for EVERY little holiday! :-)

1st Day of Big Boy Pre-School!
Kainaan had his first day of full time preschool today! I expected the worst, but he did fantastic! The teacher said he was fine, he only cried for a a few seconds.
The funny part was when I went to get him...the director went and got him off the playground to bring him to me...
She said that when she told him that she was taking to see Mommy, he started crying! And he cried all the way until they got to me. He got in my arms and cried on my shoulder for a couple of minutes after. Was it tears of joy and relief of seeing me? Or was it tears because he wanted to stay!? Either way, I was glad to see him and he was soooo good and sweet!
Oh and I was told that he made a new friend...Chloe, and they held hands today! :-) LOL! Too cute! I will have to get a picture of that!
So here's to a successful day. I hope it stays that way!
Does he look like little man or what?

Chattanooga Playtime with Pawpaw
Sunday was a fun day...after I got off of work...its ok, i love my job!
Anyways, we met Dad in Chattanooga and had soooo much fun! We went on the Incline Railway. Its the world's steepest passenger car that goes to the top of the mountain and back down at 72% grade! Its neat! And while at the top, we walked 3 blocks over to Pilot Park. Its were the Civil War's Battle Above the Clouds took place. LOTS of history and breathtaking views! Chattanooga also holds the record for 2 of the bloodiest battles in the Civil War, over 36,000 lives were taken in Chattanooga's Battles of the Civil War. Yeah, its really neat to walk on old battle grounds that were once soaked in blood of some of the bravest men ever! OK- enough of my weird fascination with that stuff. So after our brief history lesson, we went back down the railway and headed over to the Downtown/Riverwalk area. We ate outside at this nice little seafood bistro & bar. The weather was sooo cool! It didn't even feel like summer. And it was here that Dad ate raw oysters while Tim watched in uncertainty or maybe it was disgust...LOL! You will see the pictures! So, you think it would be the end of the day...NOPE! We went on a horse and buggy ride through the downtown area, Kainaan got to hold the reins, and then walked around the river front. Kainaan had to fall and skin his knees, and we had to detour to Ben & Jerry's to make it feel better! :-)
Wheeew! Now our day had to end. We brought Pawpaw back to his truck and we headed home.
So here are all 79 pictures!

Kainaan's New Wheels??
Pawpaw comes to town for a few hours and he just can't help himself! The bounce house he bought Kainaan is 93 pounds, and while I can and have lugged that sucker from the garage to the backyard and back to the garage, its just too heavy! So, now I have no excuse to not set it up for Kainaan...its now travel friendly in the neat garden wagon that Pawpaw bought! Now all I have to do is roll it up when we are done playing, put it on the wagon, and tah-dah...roll back into the garage! YAY! Sooooo much easier!
And of course, Kainaan loves riding in it, too!
Thank you Pawpaw!

Happy 4th of July!
So this is my and Tim's 5th July 4th together! Can you believe it!?!? 5 YEARS! So, I thought it would be fun to revisit each of those! Don't worry, this post isn't too long! Its FUNNY!
July 3rd, 2004 Eureka Springs, AR:
Me, Tim, Brad, & Lisa all went to Eureka Springs, AR and rented this kick-ass condo! On July 3rd, we went to Branson, MO to play for the day. Then that night, we went to Top of the Rock Restuarant for a great meal and to watch the fireworks on the lake in the mountains. It was there that Tim got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! AWWW! Everyone knew, even my Mom, all the way in Louisiana!

July 4th, 2004 Eureka Springs, AR:
We rented a boat for a few hours to play on the lake...LOL! That was FUN! Check out the pics below...(sorry that they are fuzzy, I had a 35mm camera back then & I had to scan in the pics!)

I didn't get a picture of Lisa...she was smarter than the rest of us and didn't tube...I think? Or maybe she did but didn't flip off.
July 4th, 2005 Houma/Monroe, LA:
Tim was out of town working maybe?? Can't remember. I had PREGNANCY Mush Brains!
July 4th, 2006 Valencia, CA:
We celebrated with our friends, Danny & Val. It was new territory for all of us, as we were all new parents...we had Kainaan and they had Nathan! It was fun! Kainaan didn't like the fireworks though. While everyone else was outside watching them, I was in their house trying to calm a SCREAMING baby with a bottle! :-)
Was this a cool cake or what!? The fries were made of pound cake and the ketchup was red icing!
July 4th, 2007: Knoxville, TN:
Its our first July 4th in our first home! We drove up to Cade's Cove to see the wildlife and have a picnic in the park!
July 4th, 2008 Knoxville, TN:
We had company! So we spent the day at the zoo...Kainaan had a blast! Well, we all did!
July 4th, 2009 Knoxville, TN:
Today was Kainaan's first experience in the movie theater. And it was our first movie since I was pregnant and we went to Dukes of Hazzard with Jessica Simpson...yeah, because I wanted to stare at a gorgeous in shape blond while I was giving the Goodyear Blimp a run for its money! Anyways, we went to see "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" and it was soooo CUTE! Kainaan did pretty well, but he wanted to go up and down the steps the whole time. It could have been worse, atleast he was quiet. Sorry about the pics, again. I didn't bring my camera so we used Tim's phone.
He loved his bucket of popcorn that was as big as his head.
