What Have We Been Up To?

So we went back to the Aquarium this past Friday while Tim was home. And this time we got to see a Dive show. Kainaan loved it! So here are some more fish pictures...
How about a different perspective of a shark...the top of him instead the underside?
How much money does a shark get for losing a tooth? (This was in the tank by the glass.)
Kainaan trying to distract the speaker during the dive show. I think he will piss off a lot of teachers in school...
He was 'walking' across the glass wall.
The diver was feeding them a shrimp shake from a squeeze bottle.
Kainaan was in awe at the diver waving to him.
BRACE YOURSELF FOR THE NEXT PICTURES...CONTENTS MAY BE DISTURBING TO THOSE WITH HEART PROBLEMS! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
OK-Now here come some funny pics that could come in handy when he is 16 and comes home late from partying with his friends. Its memories like this that parents have to look forward to when their kids become teenagers, right? LOL!
What the hell is my BOY wearing? He found one of my old wedding gifts from my girlfriends and was trying to put it on, so after I helped him, he wore it proudly!
I had to fix the straps so he would not step on it and rip it. He was certainly loud and Proud!
Can anyone tell me why little boys are fascinated with Mommy things? If its not my old gowns, then its my high heels?

Snowy Fun with Hunter

Yesterday (Monday) it snowed here ALL day! Really! Nonstop until 630 last night! You think we would have had a lot of snow to play it, but no. It was melting away all afternoon and stopped sticking. So we only had a very small window to try and play in it. Hunter and Alison came over to play in the snow with us.
Enjoy the pics!

Kainaan was loving the snow! It was melting fast!

Hunter all ready to play, but he wasn't sure he really wanted to.

Kainaan having fun.
Hunter is still not so sure, but he loved yelling at Kainaan.
Yay! There he goes! Hunter finally made it into the snow, but he didn't hang in it long.
Kainaan was all over! He is too wild!

He was wondering where the snow was going...It melted fast!
Hey Hunter!
Hey Kainaan!

Couch Potatoes! Why is my son grabbing his crotch?
Kainaan and Hunter were watching Mickey Mouse.
Kainaan loves Brett!
So after all the snow melted away yesterday, this is what we woke up to this morning! We could have had so much snow to play in if only it had stuck around. Oh well, maybe next time!

Let's Catch Up...

Here are a few more pics from our 2ND trip to the aquarium. We went again last Friday when Tim was home. And then there are some random pics from the past weekend. I'll post the snow pictures later. :-)

Sea Dragon...taken through glass!
Cool Starfish...stuck to the glass.
Got Crabs? Ha!
Its a clearer picture of Nemo!
Wow! What a toothy grin!
Wassup!?!? He's probably thinking..."Get out of my face with that flash!"

Look at the ice forming in the creek in Gatlinburg...It was cold! Pretty neat how changing 1 setting on the camera will make the color different, huh?
Its the attack of the 'Fiderman' stickers. That's how Kainaan says Spider man.
Love his 'earrings'
Kainaan's new found love...us reading books to him...

Mommy's turn...
Daddy's turn again.
Mommy's turn again...have you noticed its the same book 4 times in a row? He loves the book, 'The Little Engine that Could' which is fitting, right? Yeah, we are so happy that he WANTS to cuddle and read, but really? Does it have to be the same book over and over? And I don't care for this book, its got 2 things in it that I hate...a clown and baby dolls...and they all "talk" in it! ~Shutter~

Tim's Brush With Death...What??

OK- maybe my title is a bit dramatic, but just read what happened to Tim today...
As most of you know, Tim has been traveling for work and he's gone 5 days a week. (He's training people.) Anyways, he left from Knoxville's airport today, flew into Cincinnati, and then got on a plane to Detroit. He sent a text and told me he was boarding and he would call me later. Well...
15 minutes later he called again. What?? He said they took off and had to land immediately for an emergency. Again...WHAT?? Here is what Tim told me...
"We took off and heard the landing gear going up, then SMOKE started coming in the plane. Alarms started going off and the Pilot came over the loud speaker and told us to prepare for a crash landing! As we got closer, I could see firetrucks and ambulances lined up on the runway."
Luckily, the landing was only rough, and not catastrophic and everyone was able to get off safely.
Nothing like a little airline scare to put things in perspective, right?
Anyways, Tim is fine now. He was a little shaken, but who wouldn't be, right? He is now in Wisconsin and driving to where he is supposed to be.
Just wanted to let everyone know what had happened today, and to remind everyone to always let the person you love know just how much you do love them, and love your babies (if you have them).
I am fine, but if I think about what could have happened, it scares the crap out of me. In the blink of an eye, I could've been widowed at age 27 and my 2 year old could have lost his idol (and he would not have understood it).
PS- He did tell me that when they got on a different plane, Delta offered them something for their troubles...a free cocktail. Yes, let's get them drunk so maybe they will think it was all a drunken dream. Yippie! I guess they consider letting you live a win!
Scary...

Aquarium Fun!

Friday we went to the Aquarium. Tim came home from his business trip on Thursday so we wanted to get out and do something fun! And since we have season passes, this was fun...and free! The best kind of fun, right? LOL!
Enjoy the pics!

Kainaan, The Mad Scientist

Turn this, push that...

In the tunnel under the water tank, Kainaan says, "Oh My Goodness" as the sharks swim over.

Look closely, there is the only sea turtle our aquarium has. He's hard to photograph!

Since it was a school/work day for people, the aquarium was empty (which was so fun and relaxing) so I was able to ask a worker about this. The story goes...This was the 1st day the aquarium opened, and the sharks were not used to people being under them and being so close. So it made them swim fast with their mouths open toward the people and the rammed into the glass causing scratches. Cool story, huh? That would have been so cool to see!
*And another story about the sharks...Tim asked if the sharks ever eat the little fish swimming with them. The answer...Yep! It happens regularly, but they try to control it by over feeding the sharks. Why can't that happen when we are there? That would be....educational??

He is so curious!

Oooooooooo Barracuda! I love that song by Heart and sing it to myself every time we get to these guys! Yeah, I know, I am goofy!

I can't remember what type of fish this is but it was in the tank with the Blow fish. Is it the ugliest fish ever of what!?!?

Yeah lets get another look...Nope...still ugly!

Kainaan loved pressing the buttons. It told about the different parts of a fish.

LOL! He wasn't expecting it to talk!

Very cool looking venomous fish!

This fish is so pretty and different.

NEMOOOOOO!!!!

Back to the talking fish!

Pretty Seahorse!

Can't remember his name...

This guy is now the oldest fish in the tank, of his species, his friend died a month ago. I noticed the big guy, that never moved, was not in his usual spot, so I asked where he was and that's when we were told that he died. I can't be sure but I think the worker told us he was over 100 years old when he died! Cool, huh?

The boy loves to play with anything with a steering wheel!

Looks like a stick bug, but a stick fish! Haha!

Peek-A-Boo!
