Family Rock Wall Fun

Last Friday night, we went to the gym. Every Friday night and Sunday our gym has family night. Its great because you can let your kids play on the rock wall, the basketball court, or go swimming. We tried the swimming thing last year and the indoor pool that is supposed to be heated was COLD! So anyways, after Tim and I had walked/ran 3 miles, we went and got the Big Guy out of kiddie care and let him play.
He tried the basketball thing, but there was some older kids playing a game and he kept making his ball go into their area, and he kept running through them! So we switched his attention to the rock wall. He wasn't sure about it, so Mommy had to go first and show him what to do.
I am sorry about the quality of the pictures, all we had was Tim's work phone.

Here goes Mommy...OMG!

Yeah I got about 3/4 the way up and started having flashbacks to Klingman's Dome... Quick story: The Houma Adair's and the Bastrop Adair's had gone vacationing in campers to Tennessee. We stopped at the TN/NC line to see Klingman's Dome, the highest point of the Smokey Mountains. You can go up steps to get to the top or climb STRAIGHT UP the mountain wall. Well, I was following my brother and cousins, but they climbed up faster than me. I froze about half way up and could not move. (Hey, I was like 10 or 12.) It suddenly occurred to me just how high off the ground I really was. So while Dad videoed me clinging to this wall like a monkey, Uncle Mike had to climb down and rescue me. That was funny b/c he wanted me to climb on his back, but that meant I had to let go of the wall that I had a death grip on...after some time, I finally did it. And never climbed anything high again! Now that we live so close to it, I might need to conquer that fear! I am sure Tim would be highly entertained! So needless to say, I didn't make it up the whole rock wall at our gym...and I even had a safety rope and gym employee holding it and coaching me...yeah, I suck. But I tried for my baby!

I guess I did a good job for my 3 year old, he wanted to try when I got down. Mission accomplished.

He tried so hard, and did pretty good. He didn't get far, but he knows how to work his feet and his hands to get up.

He is soooo proud!

Daddy's turn!

Tim made it all the way up to the top!

I guess Kainaan thought we all looked like Spider-man. He had to go get his toy out of our bag so Spider-man could try.

Week In Review

Here is some randomness from last week.

Hunter and Kainaan had a picnic and played outside. Hunter was so mad at his Mommy for taking the fork away...Sorry buddy, no running with forks. Its usually a tie every week for Alison and Myself on who gets the "Worst Mother of the Year" award. Ha!!

He was on a mission to get that fork back!

Oh yummy! Hot dogs and Cheetos are always healthy! (They are...I buy baked Cheetos and 98% fat free hot dogs...only 40 calories!)

They LOVE Kainaan's table from Unkie Doug and Aunt Sharon! Its so cute, and they can write on it with dry-erase markers!

Time for drawing and dessert. Check out Kainaan's train tracks that he drew all by himself! And he now loves drawing circles and triangles...he is really good, too!

Hunter is creating a masterpiece...with the cap! :-)

Kainaan has discovered Scooby Doo. He will ask, "Can u put Scooby Doo Doo on 'TeeVee', pleeaassee?" And he sings the theme song, "Scooby Doo Doo, I love You..."

Mommy and me painting time! We had fun! I think I had more fun than Kainaan.

That's my multi-tasker...eating a sugar free fudge pop and creating a masterpiece.

Tah-Dah!! All done! Yes, I painted 2 pictures...it was kind of relaxing!

I have no words...

Go See Peyt & Bad & Lusa

On our way home last week, we decided to take a long stop to break up our 11 hour drive home. Unfortunately, it was only 3 into the trip, Haha!! but it was worth it! We stopped at Brad and Lisa's house in Hattiesburg...Kainaan was thrilled when I told him. For 30 minutes, until we got there, all I heard from Kainaan was, "Go see Peyt. Go 'pay' Peyt trains. Go see 'Bad' and 'Lusa.' Go seeeeee Peyt friend." Those boys had so much fun! And it was so nice to sit and eat lunch and just hang out.

'Lusa & Peyt" A.K.A. Lisa & Peyton

Oh boy! They have a cool bounce house toy!!

Yoo Hoo, Its me, Peyton!

Look Lulu (that's Peyton's way of saying Lori) I have a sticker that doesn't come off. He was showing me his tattoo, but he called it a sticker.

Caught ya!! Weeeee!

Watch me create a masterpiece.

Oooo! Presents! Peyton loved Kainaan throwing the tissue paper.

Dig deep! Don't fall in buddy!

Yea!! Cool presents! Thank Lusa(Lisa) and Bad(Brad) and Peyt(Peyton)!

Holy cow! They DO love each other!! How sweet! But in 2 seconds, they will be pushing and hitting each other!

Kainaan loves playing trains with Peyton! Kainaan usually makes a beeline for Peyton's room!

But 'Oh my goodness!!' We had to stop in this room, too! Wow! A ride-on train!

Peyton has the coolest toys!!

And they shared and took turns like little gentlemen. I guess Lisa and I have done something right.

Kainaan waiting for his turn. Peyton is soooo cute! I love his hair!

The Final Hours Before Back To Reality

Here is a combination of our final 24 hours on the BEST place ever! Our final round before heading back to reality....

Adios Cozumel...You were a blast and we certainly left our mark! Ha!

Yeah, we partied ALL DAY in Mexico, but this was the Fiesta on the Lido Deck that night...we were still going strong! "Everybody clap yo' hands!!!"

Natalie, Me, and Stacey gettin' low!

"At the Copa, Copa Cabana, the hottest place west of Havana..."

Brian and Natalie havin' some fun. This is a guy that Natalie and Stacy picked up. He was there with his 8 year old daughter, just the 2 of them, how sweet!! And how funny, he is from Pontoc, Mississippi! He knows the same family that I know from there...don't ever think you can escape your life on a damn cruise out of New Orleans...You will always find someone that knows you or knows someone of someone of someone! I might have a better chance on an Alaskan Cruise! :-)

Our trusty Captain and his fearless crew! He always ended anything he said with "Ciao!"

See look, he's saying, "Bye-Bye, Ciao!"

Another towel creature awaiting us...Its a monkey.

Here comes Peter Cottontail!

Yep, one more round of singing...
"You can take your high society, I'm soaking it in kerosene..."
"I'll find some place to lay my blame, the day she changes her last name."
Huh? Oh, sorry...I started singing parts of the song!

An exact replica of our ship made entirely of LEGO PIECES!!!
I thought my brother and my nephews would enjoy this.

And so the story ends...Bye-Bye, Ciao!!

I am such a blonde! Its ok though, my husband thought the Vatican was in Poland! LOL! I guess that's why we make a great couple.)
