So, that's what Kainaan and I did! Mommy and Kainaan had a date! (Daddy has a sinus infection and is a big wienie.)We had so much fun! He played with just about every game, kept asking me for money (AKA Game Tokens), and running to the table for 1 bite of pizza at a time. He was sooo busy! He loved climbing on the play land and going down the slide. And I think he thought it was fun to put the tokens in, but walk away...like that WAS the game...so I played a lot! :-) Skee Ball was interesting...he would either hurl the ball overhead (yikes!) or walk on the game and go drop it in. Anyways, that was our fun date night! I think we will do this more often. Enjoy the pictures!

Translation of title: Kainaan's Language equals, "I swim, I want to swim...Play in the water!!"

Ok-our new gym has family day! Its on Fridays from 430-830, and on Sundays from 2-5. During family time, you can swim in the indoor pool, climb the rock wall, or play basketball with your kids. So, this past Sunday we decided to go. The pool is supposed to be 82-86 degrees all year...well, it was COLD! I guess it was on the lower side of the 80's...BRRRRR!!!!!! I was in for about 5 minutes. Kainaan was shivering and his bottom lip was quivering, but no way was he getting out! So, Daddy had to suffer with him! LOL! Needless to say, we weren't there very long! Kainaan was not happy about that, but it was past his naptime, too. That contributed to his unhappiness as we left. I got some pics, of course. And we are going to try again this weekend. Maybe it will be a little warmer. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I'm In Print!

Hey Everybody! In the midst of all of our company and trips, I forgot to blog about my news! A couple of weeks ago, my Dad had called me. He said he was stuck Missouri at a Pilot Travel Center. He grabbed their magazine, Pilot Challenge Magazine, and was reading through to kill time. Well, he got to the back where there is a monthly photo contest, and HELLO..."that's my daughter!!" Yep, my picture was picked as an honorable mention! It was one of my floral pics that I took last year. OK- I won NOTHING! And its a trucker's magazine published by Pilot...BUT, at least my name and picture are in print in something! Right? :-) And, its a nationwide thing...

The Oberdorf Weekend :-)

Well, this weekend was FUN! Our friends, Chuck & Donna, with their daughter, Megan, came to visit. We have been friends with them since living in Monroe! Every weekend we would go to their house and play cards until dawn, grill out, and have some drinks! So, we recreated that on Friday night! We played cards, drank a few, and snacked on junk...there is one difference, though...we are older and slower! We called a night around 1230 AM! And we didn't drink anywhere near the amount we used to...LOL! Anyways, on Saturday, we went to Gatlinburg. Megan wanted to see the aquarium and Donna wanted to go to Ober Gatlinburg to ride the tram up the side of the mountain. While at the top, we watched people ice skate indoors, and went to the Black Bear Exhibit. It was great! And to top it off, Kainaan was GOOD!! We had no melt down in the aquarium, and he was only put in 1 timeout while at Ober Gatlinburg...and it was Daddy that did it! I know, shocking...but Tim has finally been backing me up, and its working! I finally feel like a team! :-) Anyways, his 1 meltdown was worth it when he fell asleep on Tim's shoulder on the long walk back to the Jeep. Then, on my shoulder when Tim passed him off to me. He has not done that in forever! He was a little angel! Ok-so after all of that, we topped off the day with a good meal from Applebarn! Such wonderful homemade food...million times better than Cracker Barrel! Well, that's all I got for now...and lots of pictures ofcourse! Enjoy!

Fun In The Sun!

This past week, we had some fun in the sun! My friend, Alison, and her son, Hunter, came over one day and the boys played with Kainaan's water table and Elmo Sprinkler. Kainaan loved dumping water on Hunter's head...unfortunately, Hunter wasn't as thrilled. So, Hunter decided that he would explore the deck most of the time and gave his mommy a workout. Alison & I wonder when the time will come when we can just sit back and relax and watch the boys play. We never sat down! She kept Hunter from crawling and hurting himself, and I had to constantly tell Kainaan to stop pouring water on Hunter, stop throwing water on us...& MY CAMERA!! Ooohhhh, those boys! They are fun!! :-) And so much fun that we went to their house another day. The boys played in Hunter's pool, Kainaan watered Alison's flowers...and Hunter! :-) Basically, Kainaan played around with all of Hunter's toys...Hunter was smart and stayed nice and cool in the water. Presents, Presents, Presents!

Kainaan had a wonderful surprise Monday. He got a fun package of gifts from Cousin Amy! She sent him a blanket and pillow set, 2 packs of NASCAR wall appliques, and a magic plate! I know, what is a magic plate?? Well, its a plate with a special coating and special markers. I had to buff it with gift tissue paper, Kainaan got to color it, and then I had re-buff it with the tissue paper...VIOLA! Kainaan had made a masterpiece! He now has a very cool personalized plate to eat on! Oh, I almost forgot...the pillow and blanket set matches the pillowcase that Meme bought him last year at Christmas Time and had his name monogrammed on it. So now he's got the little set! I will have to go see if there are sheets and stuff to match...maybe a lamp or something...Anyways, the pics of him creating his masterpiece are below!
