Kainaan's School Work 4

Kainaan had his first week in his new class with kids his age...its been a rough start every morning, but everyday there were fewer tears eventually. They worked on the Letter A.
A is for Apple.

He glued these pieces of paper and foil on all by himself to make the letter A.

How cute!
He did a pretty good job coloring his apple! He stayed in the lines for the most part.
A is for Ark...he glued the ark and the letter A on the paper.
His Johnny Appleseed coloring paper.

Kainaan Is Johnny Appleseed

My Little Johnny Appleseed!!! His class is celebrating Johnny Appleseed's birthday (9-26-1774!) and he needed to wear a plaid shirt and a pot on his head! Since my pots are too heavy...Tim & I made 1! :-) I was going to try using cardboard and foil, but Mom thought about the plastic top hats at party supply stores. It would be dangerous if we lived in the same town! :-) I cut the rim off and covered it with foil, then Tim cut a paint stirring stick in half and hot glued it on. Not a bad job for our 1st official school project, huh?
I took these 2 pics last night because I was scared I wouldn't get him to take one before school. He is not adjusting to his new class very well this week... :-(

LOOK! I DID get a picture this morning! He was excited to have Daddy taking him to school! Mommy was too, it meant I didn't have to get up and get dressed on my 1 day off in 6 days!! :-)
*This pic is bright...I used my old little camera instead of my good one...I was tired and they needed to get going! :-)

Be Thankful For Your Healthy Babies!

I had to go to NICU today to take pictures of a baby that was getting to go home, it was a great day for everyone involved...but while I was there, I had to take a few minutes to take it all in. I was surrounded by endless rows of baby incubators. They had babies of all sizes, and the nurses were soooo wonderful to actually take the time to talk to me and let me see a little bit of what they do everyday. All I can say is...WOW! All nurses are special, but these ladies are out of this world! Check out the diaper below...its what they use for the tiniest babies. It weighs 8 grams and the only way they know how much a baby is expelling is to weigh the diaper and subtract 8 grams from it. Isn't that so sad? My NICU experience was bittersweet today!

Look how tiny!?!? The Newborn diaper looks so big, which is usually so small.
The NICU diaper measures 4 inches! it literally fit into the palm of my hand!

Kainaan's School Work 3

Here is some more of Kainaan's school work. This is the letter he worked on the week before last. Glued on the letter all by himself....as you can tell.

The Theme from this week was transportation.

His painting skills...

He visited Mrs. Becky's class this week and they are working on the vowels...so this week in that class was the letter E for Eskimo.

And they "had" English Tea...

So we decided to paint an accent wall in out kitchen/dining room yesterday. Kainaan had to help paint...or more like just make a mess! But he had a blast! And he was really cute! Enjoy all of the pics below! :-)

He is soooo proud that he gets to help!

He looks like he is about to have a little too much fun! :-)

Tim Can't Hang?!?!

Daddy had a good time at TJ's bachelor party lastnight! LMAO! This is the 1st time I have ever seen Tim with a hangover! Out of all of the times we have had drinking nights, he would never get sick and never have a hangover. It used to tick me off because I would feel like crap! I guess his age is showing! HAHAHAHA!!!!! :-)

Luckily, Kainaan has no idea why Daddy has a headache! LOL! :-) And Kainaan is being so sweet, he just heard Tim groan and he asked, "You k Daddy? U need band-aid? U gotta ouchie? I get u boo boo bear."

Kainaan's School Work 2

Kainaan missed some stuff last week since we were at the beach. Luckily we have an excellent, caring teacher that went over with him what he missed. They did B, 2, and I don't know what the color and shape was...but anyways...here is his work!

The Focus this week was: C, 3, Triangle, & Pink. Here is Kainaan's work for the #3 & pink triangles. He glued the stuff on all by himself. :-) I guess he wanted to do his own thing and glued all 3 triangles on the same picture instead of putting 1 on each picture! LOL! And I think he thought the purple glue stick was a color because the ice cream cone was had a lot of dried glue smeared all over it! :-) They have not sent home the 'C' paper...I will post it when I get it!

This week in his original class, with Mrs. Robin and Mrs. Jane, they learned lots of Nursery Rhymes. He colored and made his own necklace for Hey Diddle Diddle.

Kainaan is transitioning to the next class for the next couple of weeks. He will eventually move up to the class he belongs in age-wise. He just doesn't accept change very well, and they are slowly working him in, which I am so greatful for. On the day he visited Mrs. Becky's Class, they learned about Ms. 'O' and he did a worksheet about it. I think he did a fantastic tracing the o's on the page! :-)
