Tim's Brush With Death...What??

OK- maybe my title is a bit dramatic, but just read what happened to Tim today...
As most of you know, Tim has been traveling for work and he's gone 5 days a week. (He's training people.) Anyways, he left from Knoxville's airport today, flew into Cincinnati, and then got on a plane to Detroit. He sent a text and told me he was boarding and he would call me later. Well...
15 minutes later he called again. What?? He said they took off and had to land immediately for an emergency. Again...WHAT?? Here is what Tim told me...
"We took off and heard the landing gear going up, then SMOKE started coming in the plane. Alarms started going off and the Pilot came over the loud speaker and told us to prepare for a crash landing! As we got closer, I could see firetrucks and ambulances lined up on the runway."
Luckily, the landing was only rough, and not catastrophic and everyone was able to get off safely.
Nothing like a little airline scare to put things in perspective, right?
Anyways, Tim is fine now. He was a little shaken, but who wouldn't be, right? He is now in Wisconsin and driving to where he is supposed to be.
Just wanted to let everyone know what had happened today, and to remind everyone to always let the person you love know just how much you do love them, and love your babies (if you have them).
I am fine, but if I think about what could have happened, it scares the crap out of me. In the blink of an eye, I could've been widowed at age 27 and my 2 year old could have lost his idol (and he would not have understood it).
PS- He did tell me that when they got on a different plane, Delta offered them something for their troubles...a free cocktail. Yes, let's get them drunk so maybe they will think it was all a drunken dream. Yippie! I guess they consider letting you live a win!
Scary...

Holy Moly! So glad that he's safe and sound now...I know you'll be glad when he's home in Knoxville for awhile. I guess they figured after that, they all needed a drink!! I know I would!

He said the next scariest thing was me throwing him against the fence! I did talk to him also and glad he is okay. I might have used a bit from Ron White..."take it down I don't want to limp away from this wreck!" ;) (probably wouldn't have been well received)
