Pictures of New Orleans Zoo

Here are pics from our Zoo Trip in New Orleans. It was a crazy day. Kainaan was not very cooperative with us, therefore, we blew through it quickly. We did manage to get some pics of him smiling and being nice, so I will only post those. Of course, there a tons more, but too many to post...they are mostly of the animals. Maybe I will save those for a day that I have nothing to share. Enjoy the pics!

Starting our day. And posing with Meme!

Feeding the ducks and turtles.

Come and get it guys!! Lunch time!

Yeah, I am here...he didn't want to take the pic, he wanted to pull the damn wagon! :-)

C'mon Meme! There is more ground to cover.

Meme is tired! We climbed Monkey Hill.

Rope Bridge at Monkey Hill...very cool area!

Cousin Amy and Kainaan...again, he didn't want to take a picture...

FINALLY! He posed!

This guy was so cool! He didn't look real, but he was...he moved!

The Louisiana Portion of the Zoo...so neat!

Break time in the Swamp!

Loved the colors on this guy...or girl, whatever...

Aaahhh! This cool mist feels good.

Where is this coming from?

He finally got tired and gave in!
Yeah, he's over the zoo...and so are we! It was a tough time with him. He wore us out!

Two things...1 -I love the fact that Kainaan wanted to pose with the fake monkey but not with his family!...lol...
2 - The bird is a male....only the males have such colorful plumage so they can attract the females...I think it's discrimination against female birds...so glad I'm a human female because we have sssssoooo much more wardrobe to choose from than our male counterparts....lol....

Love it! Wish we could have been there. I know Peyton would have had fun with his buddy. We miss y'all!

Mama - At the zoo, children have their own agenda's...and it is NOT posing for pictures!!! :)I hardly have ANY posed shots of my kids at the many, many zoos we have been to over the years...because that is not what they were at the zoo for!! :) However, I do find it interesting that like their cousin, some of the only pictures my kids DID pose for over the years...were with fake monkeys...and Tyler posed with a real one...maybe I'll post that on my blog...hysterical!
